The super porous structure of activated carbon, helps to remove at least 81 chemicals from tap water and are effective at reducing another 52, helping you naturally clarify tap water. Charcoal block filters are extremely cost affective as they can be used for up to 3-6 months, removing pollutants such as lead as well as microbiological contaminants including waterborne pathogens. Sounds revolutionary but the Japanese have been using this method to clarify for centuries! 

How to Use: Rinse off with warm water to get any carbon dust from the stick, let the stick soak in boiling water for 5 minutes to remove any impurities. The stick can be used to clarify 1 Litre of water at a time, up to 5 litres before re-boiling and continuing use for up to 6 months. 

In the event that any remaining charcoal is ingested, it is totally harmless to health. There is no risk in the event of the coal breaking.
