Cracking Chocolate Brownies

Soooo, Easter is only a few days away, nothing beats these ooooey, gooey chocolate brownies. They are NOT vegan so we are sorry but we just couldnt resist treating ourselves this week.. 

The ingredients: 

  • 100g Butter
  • 200g chopped Pico Hazelnut Chocolate 
  • 4 Eggs
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 100 g Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 30g Medicinal Mushroom Magic  
  • 3 Cream Eggs - optional
  • 10 small mini eggs - optional 

The Method: 

  • Preheat the over to 180 °C
  • In a bain marie, melt together the butter and the chopped chocolate untill fully incorporated into a glossy consistency, leave to rest until its at room temperature. 
  • Whisk together the egg and sugar until light and fluffy 
  • Fold in the ROOM TEMPERATURE melted glossy chocolate mix - ensuring it is a room temp will mean the eggs will not accidentally get cooked.. 
  • Once incorporated add in the flour, baking powder and cocoa and mix until smooth. 
  • Top with your easter favourites, we have gone with cream eggs and mini eggs but these can be swapped out for more sophisticated nuts or pretzels.  
  • Bake for 20/25 mins untill the tip cracks and the middle is still a little runny. 

This is a great base for all blondies and non vegan brownies - simply chop and change your toppings for the ultimate treat!
